'The Vampire Diaries' Season 3 release date has been officially announced for August 28, 2012 for both DVD and Blu-Ray. The DVD will contain 5 discs with all the season 3 episodes and a bunch of bonus content. The MSRP will be $59.98 for the DVD set. While the Blu-Ray version will contain 9 disc combo type pack. It will contain the Blu-Rays, DVDs, and the UltraViolet digital downloads of all the season 3 episodes. The Blu-Ray combo will have a MSRP of $69.96 and will contain the same bonus features as the DVD release. The above pics will give you an idea of what the sets will look like.
