Nathan Lane to Star on "The Good Wife"

EMMY AWARD AND TONY AWARD WINNER NATHAN LANE TO STAR ON “THE GOOD WIFE” IN RECURRING ROLE  

NEW YORK,  June 27, 2012 – THE GOOD WIFE has cast Emmy Award and Tony Award-winning actor Nathan Lane (“The Producers”) in a recurring role in season four, and will make his debut in September’s season premiere.

Lane will portray a bottom line-obsessed manager imposed on Lockhart & Gardner by the bank to cut costs and get the firm back to fiscal health. He finds himself at odds with Will, Diane and everyone else at the firm.

Lane is the latest in a stellar list of recurring guests for THE GOOD WIFE’s new season. Previously announced casting includes Maura Tierney, Marc Warren and Kristin Chenoweth.

Rookie Blue - Officially Renewed for Fourth Season

ABC ANNOUNCES EARLY RENEWAL OF THE POPULAR SUMMER DRAMA SERIES, “Rookie Blue”

ABC and Global Television jointly announced today the renewal of the summer’s popular drama series, “Rookie Blue,” for a fourth season.

On average, ABC’s “Rookie Blue” is the No. 1 series among Adults 18-49 in Thursday’s 10 o’clock hour this summer to date. The ABC drama is growing its overall audience by 4% over the comparable telecasts of last summer. In fact, “Rookie Blue” topped its year-ago premiere (on 6/23/11) by 5% to open its 3rd season with its most-watched telecast since August 2010 – since 8/19/10. For the 2nd summer in a row, “Rookie Blue” stands as the No. 1 drama on the major networks in Adults 18-49.

The fourth season of the series is currently in development and will move into production in Toronto later this summer.

Jennifer Hudson to Guest-Star on NBC's 'Smash' Over Multi-Episode Arc

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. – June 22, 2012 – Oscar, Golden Globe and Grammy-winning actress-singer Jennifer Hudson (“Dreamgirls”) will appear in a multi-episode arc on NBC’s “Smash” beginning with the second-season premiere when the musical drama returns to the NBC schedule.

Hudson will portray Veronica Moore, a Tony Award-winning Broadway star who impacts the lives of Karen (Katharine McPhee) and Ivy (Megan Hilty).

"We're thrilled to have Jennifer Hudson coming to ‘Smash,’” said Robert Greenblatt, Chairman of NBC Entertainment. “This series is a showcase for some of the best musical talent in the business and that's a fitting description for Jennifer Hudson. Her character will represent someone who reached their Broadway dream but also paid a price for it."

Hudson’s singing and acting career soared with her starring role as Effie White in the 2006 feature film “Dreamgirls.” An Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress were among the many accolades that she was awarded. Hudson’s other film credits include “Sex and the City” and “The Secret Life of Bees.”

She earned a Grammy for her self-titled debut album “Jennifer Hudson,” which released the single “Spotlight” and was certified gold by the RIAA. Her sophomore album, “I Remember Me,” debuted at #2 on Billboard’s Top 200 and R&B Albums charts and has since been certified gold in the U.S. She recently received a 2012 Billboard Music Award nomination for Top R&B Album and also collaborated with Ne-Yo and Rick Ross on the title track for the hit film “Think Like a Man,” which opened in April 2012. Also in 2012, Hudson became a best-selling author with the release of her inspirational memoir “I Got This: How I Changed My Ways and Lost What Weighed Me Down.”

The Vampire Diaries - Season 3 - DVD & Blu-Ray Release Information

'The Vampire Diaries' Season 3 release date has been officially announced for August 28, 2012 for both DVD and Blu-Ray. The DVD will contain 5 discs with all the season 3 episodes and a bunch of bonus content. The MSRP will be $59.98 for the DVD set. While the Blu-Ray version will contain 9 disc combo type pack. It will contain the Blu-Rays, DVDs, and the UltraViolet digital downloads of all the season 3 episodes. The Blu-Ray combo will have a MSRP of $69.96 and will contain the same bonus features as the DVD release. The above pics will give you an idea of what the sets will look like. “A Good Shoot” – Dov’s world explodes into chaos when he walks in on a convenience store robbery in progress – and shoots a young black teenager, who may or may not have been armed. The tight-knit community erupts in outrage, as the ensuing investigation calls into question whether Dov used excessive force or acted too quickly. Filled with self-doubt, Dov is left to wonder if he operated within the guidelines or if he will be charged with murder, as 15 Division struggles to prevent a riot in the sweltering streets, on “Rookie Blue,” THURSDAY, JUNE 7(10:00-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
