Nashville - Episode 1.01 - Pilot

HAILED AS ONE OF THIS FALL'S BEST NEW SHOWS, "NASHVILLE" DEBUTS WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 10 ON ABC

One of this fall's most anticipated and critically-acclaimed series, "Nashville," debuts WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 10 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network, starring Emmy nominee Connie Britton ("American Horror Story) and Hayden Panettiere ("Heroes"), and created by Oscar-winning screenwriter Callie Khouri ("Thelma & Louise"). Shot entirely in Nashville, Tennessee, each episode of the series takes us into a captivating world of music, power, talent, sex, love, heartbreak and redemption, featuring original songs by established and breakout songwriters sung by the stars of the series.

Music legend and entertainment icon Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton) has been one of the industry's top female vocalists for two decades. After working tirelessly to elevate her game, Rayna suddenly discovers her passion for the business is not enough to compete with the new generation of talent lighting up the charts. She is reluctant to accept the emerging trend in the business and refuses to be steamrolled by her longtime label, which she helped build. When they give her an offer she can't refuse, Rayna is forced to accept the harsh reality that she'll have to start over and reinvent herself if she plans on continuing to be relevant.

Offstage things aren't much easier for Rayna, whose father, Lamar Wyatt (Powers Boothe), is Nashville's most powerful businessman. Their distant relationship is strained by years of resentment and powerful secrets that begin to boil over when Lamar and Rayna's sister, Tandy, start a scheme involving Rayna's husband, Teddy (Eric Close). For Teddy Conrad, this might be his time to share the spotlight instead of being the man behind the woman. For years he's competed against Rayna's greatest love... her music. He's been haunted by her romantic entanglements, which he thought were buried in the past, but now his choice to align himself with Rayna's father could send her running back into the arms of her soul mate.

Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) is sexy, sassy, and she's got trouble written all over her. She's the hottest act in the business and she's not about to let anyone stand in the way of her success, much less Rayna Jaymes. On her way to the top, an even bigger set of circumstances will cast a shadow on her girl-next-door image. But Juliette is calculating, has an insatiable appetite for fame, and will do whatever it takes to leave her hard knocks past behind. Everyone in Nashville has a dream: Deacon Claybourne (Charles Esten) is the band leader whose unrequited love is constantly played out in the lyrics of familiar songs; Scarlett O'Connor (Clare Bowen) is the beautiful undiscovered songwriter; Avery Barkley (Jonathan Jackson) is a young misguided musician; and Gunnar Scott (Sam Palladio) is an up and comer on a collision course with Scarlett.

In the premiere episode, "Pilot," Rayna learns that her record label wants her to tour as the opening act for newcomer Juliette Barnes, and when she refuses, the stage is set for the ultimate power struggle for popularity. Complicating matters, Lamar's drive for power results in backing Teddy in a run for Mayor of Nashville, against Rayna's wishes.

"Nashville" stars Connie Britton ("Friday Night Lights," "American Horror Story") as Rayna Jaymes, Hayden Panettiere ("Heroes") as Juliette Barnes, Clare Bowen as Scarlett O'Connor, Eric Close ("Chaos," "Without a Trace") as Teddy Conrad, Charles Esten ("Enlightened," "Big Love") as Deacon Claybourne, Jonathan Jackson ("General Hospital") as Avery Barkley, Sam Palladio as Gunnar Scott, Robert Ray Wisdom as Coleman Carlisle and Powers Boothe ("24") as Lamar Wyatt,.

Guest starring in "Pilot" are Judith Hoag as Tandy Wyatt, JD Souther as Watty White and Burgess Jenkins as Randy Roberts. Co-stars include Lennon Stella as Maddie, Maisy Stella as Daphne, David Alford as Bucky Dawes, Ed Amatrudo as Glenn Goodman, Todd Truly as Marshall Evans and Sylvia Jeffries as Juliette's Mother.

Executive producers of "Pilot" are R.J. Cutler ("The September Issue," "The War Room"), Callie Khouri ("Thelma & Louise"), who is also creator, and Steve Buchanan. T Bone Burnett is the executive music producer. "Pilot" was written by Callie Khouri and directed by R.J. Cutler. The series is produced by Lionsgate, ABC Studios and Gaylord Entertainment.

"Nashville" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1 channel surround sound. A TV parental guideline will be assigned closer to airdate.

White Collar, Covert Affairs and Royal Pains - Renewed!

NEW YORK, NY – September 25, 2012 – On the heels of an unprecedented seventh consecutive summer win as cable’s #1 network across all key demos, USA signaled additional season pickups for three of its hit original drama series – ROYAL PAINS, WHITE COLLAR and COVERT AFFAIRS. The three series rank among the summer’s top ten scripted hours overall in cable in 18-49. The announcement was made today by Chris McCumber and Jeff Wachtel, co-presidents, USA Network.

"All three of these series have found ways to stay creatively fresh and culturally relevant. The execution in writing, acting and production is among the best on television. In an increasingly competitive landscape, these series got new season pickups the old-fashioned way -- they earned it!," said Wachtel and McCumber.

A high-end performer since its debut, ROYAL PAINS received a 26-episode pickup across two additional seasons with season five of the Universal Cable Productions series commencing in New York in 2013. WHITE COLLAR, from Fox Television Studios, which films in and around New York City, received a 16-episode pickup for season five, to begin filming in 2013; and the Toronto based production of COVERT AFFAIRS, from Universal Cable Productions, received a 16-episode pickup for season four.

On December 16, USA will offer a two-hour movie event “Off-Season Greetings,” an intimate look at the backstory of the Lawson brothers and a celebration of the long-awaited nuptials of Evan (Costanzo) and Paige (D’Orsay). From Universal Cable Productions, ROYAL PAINS is written and executive produced by Andrew Lenchewski and Michael Rauch. Paul Frank and Rich Frank also serve as executive producer along with Jeff Kwatinetz from Prospect Park and Connie Burge. Carol Flint, Jon Sherman, Kerry Orent and Jack Bernstein co-executive produce.

Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay star in the critically acclaimed WHITE COLLAR, which focuses on the unlikely partnership between charming con artist Neal Caffrey (Bomer) and straightforward FBI agent Peter Burke (DeKay) who partner to catch other elusive white collar criminals. In the summer finale, Neal finally learns the elusive Sam (guest Star Treat Williams), is his father. When the series returns in January, Neal will continue to uncover secrets from his past, with the help of Peter and fan favorite Mozzie, played by Willie Garson. The series also stars Tiffani Thiessen, Sharif Atkins and Marsha Thomason. WHITE COLLAR was created and is executive produced by Jeff Eastin and comes from Fox Television Studios.

666 Park Avenue - Episode 1.01 - Pilot

ENTER THE SEDUCTIVE WORLD OF THE DRAKE, WHERE YOUR DEEPEST DESIRES AND BURNING AMBITIONS WILL BE FULFILLED FOR A PRICE -- AND MAYBE YOUR SOUL -- ON THE PREMIERE OF "666 PARK AVENUE," SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 30 ON ABC

What would you do to have everything you desire? Step inside "666 Park Avenue," New York's most seductive address. We all have some burning need, desire and ambition. For the residents of The Drake, the premier apartment building on Manhattan's Upper East Side, these will all be met - for a price - courtesy of the building's mysterious owner, Gavin Doran. But be careful what you wish for, because the price you may pay is your soul. ABC's wickedly sexy and spine-tingling new drama about fulfilling our deepest desires, "666 Park Avenue," will premiere SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 30 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET).

In the premiere episode, "Pilot," when Jane Van Veen (Rachael Taylor) and Henry Martin (Dave Annable), an idealistic young couple from the Midwest, arrive in New York City, the glamorous center of industry and media, they are offered the opportunity to manage the historic Drake by its wealthy owners, Gavin (Terry O'Quinn) and Olivia Duran (Vanessa Williams) - and the seduction begins. Jane, a small town girl with big ambitions, always knew she wanted to be an architect. Henry, a member of the Mayor's staff, is grounded, intelligent and tenacious. They are lured by the intoxicating lifestyle of New York's wealthy elite. But they soon wonder what they've gotten themselves into when they unwittingly bump into the dark embrace of the building's mysterious supernatural forces which endanger the lives of their residents.

Gavin, who has many skeletons in his own closet, is at the height of his world and commands the dark power of The Drake. Olivia, his beautiful but enigmatic, supportive wife, wears her elegance, wealth and position in society like armor... but cracks will slowly be revealed.

Jane and Henry are not the only ones to fall prey to the machinations of Gavin and Olivia. There are other residents, including Brian Leonard (Robert Buckley), a young playwright pining for his early success and promise. Brian's wife, Louise (Mercedes Masšhn), is a rising hot star in the world of fashion photography. Alexis Blume (Helena Mattsson) is a troubled young woman who is the picture of obsession -- what is her real connection to Gavin, and what part will she play in Brian and Louise's life? Tony DeMeo (Erik Palladino), The Drake's doorman, is the eyes and ears of the building. And then there is 14-year-old Nona Clark (Samantha Logan), who has a blossoming psychic ability, allowing her to look into the future of her fellow Drake occupants.

Sexy, enticing and captivating, home to an epic struggle of good versus evil, The Drake maintains a dark hold over all of its tenants in this new, chilling drama, tempting them through their ambitions and desires.

Supernatural - Season 8 Press Release

The thrilling and terrifying journey of the Winchester Brothers continues with the eighth season of “Supernatural” on The CW.

Twenty-seven years ago, Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) lost their mother to a mysterious and demonic supernatural force. Subsequently, their father John (Jeffrey Dean Morgan, “Watchmen”) raised them to be soldiers. Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) have spent the last seven years battling the things that go bump in the night. Over the years, with the help of both fallen-angel, Castiel (Misha Collins, “24”), and the King of Hell, Crowley (Mark A. Sheppard), the Winchesters have straddled the line between good and evil. Last season, the boys encountered their worst enemy yet, Leviathan, a highly adaptable, seemingly unkillable foe that takes the form of billionaire Dick Roman. Roman’s plan is to turn the human race into a walking buffet for the Leviathan to feed on once the world has been taken over. Roman discovers the existence of a tablet that is the only source on how to kill the Leviathan and stops at nothing to get it. The Winchesters, along with Castiel, also discover the tablet and the young prophet, Kevin Tran (Osric Chau), who is the only one who can decipher the text. Using the tablet, the boys are able to beat the Leviathan, but after the blast, Dean and Castiel find themselves in Purgatory and Sam finds himself alone.

Season Eight begins with Dean’s seemingly impossible escape from Purgatory, though Castiel is nowhere to be found. However, Dean isn’t alone. He’s returned with a mysterious comrade-in-arms whose reason for escape is perhaps more than Dean bargained for. Meanwhile, Sam finds himself reconciling the life he discovered while Dean was gone with Dean’s sudden reappearance. As the boys struggle with their unexpected reunion, they make a shocking discovery that could lead them on a deeply personal mission to settle old scores. If only they could agree – is this a “family business” or isn’t it?.
